Join us for the EU-CONEXUS Research & Share event as part of the inaugural SETU European Maritime Week.

During the SETU European Maritime Week, a short series of events will feature at SETU's campuses in Waterford and Wexford, designed to engage researchers, students, schools and coastal communities. Learn more about these activities here.

The initiative also provides an opportunity to connect activity in the South East with wider conversations around sustainability, regional and cross-border cooperation, marine protection and future policymaking.

On 15 October at 2:00pm - 3:30pm in the Health Sciences Boardroom, you will hear from Faculty about their collaborative research projects supported by our Seed funding initiative. The event welcomes the entire SETU community, especially ones with keen interest in research and who want to learn more about the opportunities available for all students, faculty and staff.

This will be followed up by a panel discussion on their experiences with collaborative international research including deeper insight into some of the benefits and challenges.

Panel Discussion

The panel discussion will be moderated by SETU's Dr Susan Flynn, Head of Department, Department of Arts.

Professor Helen Hughes, Academic Enterprise Liaison, Department of Science

Dr Elaine Mullan, Lecturer, Department of Sport & Exercise Science

Dr Claire Lennon, Head of Department, Department of Pharmacy

Dr David O'Neill, Lecturer, Department of Science

Dr Haider Al-Juboori, Lecturer, Department of Electronic Engineering & Communications

The research presentations and panel discussion will be followed by refreshments and opportunities for further networking.
